The
Al13: Burnt Orange series is a 20-piece collection of macro photographs
of spray painted aluminum cans which have been hammered, smashed,
and/or crushed by random objects. "Al" stands for Aluminum, while "13"
is the atomic number of the metal. Inspired by the Rorschach Test, each
piece's title is based on what I personally, internally, and
subjectively comprehend from the shapes of the dents. No piece was
shaped to cater to a title, but rather all cans were damaged in the most
chaotic and unscripted manner, and all the forms created were framed to
be understood during the photography process. Some can be understood
from a distance, while others very close. Some titles carry literal
names based on observations on tiny details seen in the shots.
What you see may be completely different from what I see. That's the point.
The photographs in the Al13: Burnt Orange series are 1/1 NFTs (and 3 limited edition 40x60" prints), each selling for 0.13eth.
